Tattoo Cartridge
Tattoo cartridges are an essential tool for any tattoo artist. They provide the necessary supplies to create beautiful and intricate designs on skin, and have become increasingly popular over the years.
What Is the Difference Between Tattoo Needles and Tattoo Needle Cartridges?
Traditional tattoo needles are a group of needles soldered together with the needle bar to form a tattoo needle configuration on the bar. The full length of this assembly is about 5". There is a loop at the end of the bar that hooks onto the armature bar. In this open configuration, the needle tips are always exposed, which raises safety concerns and necessitates the use of a tube, which can be disposable or made of autoclavable stainless steel.
Tattoo Cartridges A tattoo cartridge is a 2.5" long, assembled mechanism that houses the tattoo needles safely inside. This needle configuration is glued into a plastic piece called the plunger, which is hosted in a plastic house that is sealed by the membrane cap.
The Tattoo Cartridge's Evolution in the Industry
Tattooing has evolved dramatically over the years. Tattoo ink, manufacturing practices, tattoo machines and their functionality have all advanced significantly, as have tattoo needles.
The demand for safe solutions increased as the requirements for safety conditions improved. As a result, the cartridge was invented.
The cartridge's operation is based on the logic that the needle tip is only exposed while the tattoo machine is running.
This module system's evolutionary development is that the cartridge interior construction keeps pulling the needle back to the tip, causing the tattoo machine to push the needle out.
A housing mechanism is built into the needle. When you turn off the machine, the needle retracting mechanism pulls the needle back into the cartridge, protecting the tattoo artist from needle tips.
Safety First
Safety comes first in tattooing with tattoo machine, especially because both the tattoo artist and the client are at risk of infection during the tattooing process.
If the artist is inadvertently poked, he may become infected with the client's potential disease (for example, HIV, Hepatitis, or any other blood-borne disease). This is where cartridges come into play.
You can only poke yourself when working with cartridges while the machine is running. The risk of cross-contamination is greatly reduced in this manner, providing the customer with the highest level of safety.
Tattoo cartridges are now all disposable. We do not reuse or sterilize cartridges; they are made specifically for one client. They also only have one needle-type system.
Cartridge Specifications
Tattoo cartridges are non-hazardous, disposable, and inexpensive. They also come in a variety of colors, shapes, and materials.
The cartridge structure is made up of several parts. It has an intelligent integration for the traditional needle-bar-tube combination, which has been reduced from the bulky 5" size to the thinner 2.5".

Furthermore, housing is critical to cartridge effectiveness. There are two types of housing:
One-piece housing: The cartridge tip does not fall off, but cleaning the clogged needles from skin, paper, ink, and so on is difficult.
Two-piece housing: In most cases, the tip is removable, making needles easy to clean.
